about pauline

Pauline Buntin McGrath grew up in Ontario, Canada and has called the Big Island home since 1990. Therapeutic touch was an important part of her early life as an active equestrian; her Anglo-Arab mare had a leg condition called bog spavin which required consistent care in order for them to compete.

During college, a whiplash injury and a profound experience with craniosacral therapy transformed the trajectory of her life. Pauline moved to Florida to join the early team of The Upledger Institute where she studied craniosacral therapy and became a Licensed Massage Therapist. She participated in workshop administration and in the care of brain and spinal cord patients at Upledger Foundation for over five years.

Pauline’s interest in breath related modalities brought her to Hawaii to study Ashtanga Yoga with Norman Allen. She is now a Certified Biodynamic Breathwork Therapist, open water swimmer, student of Hawaiian language and history and most importantly, mother of two amazing children.

Pauline offers in-clinic massage, mobile massage, and breathwork experiences in the Kona area. For more information or to book a session with Pauline, click here for bodywork and here for breathwork.
